The Friday Feel Good for March 14, 2014

This week we have a special guest in the House, DJ/Comedian Russell Peters @therealrussellp on the 1’s and 2’s. Russell first love is DJ’ing. He has been a DJ since 1985 and has an extensive knowledge of Old School Music. 80’s Classic Hip Hop is one of favorite genres of Music to play. When asked about the whole celebrity DJ scene, he states that they are Not real D.J.’s and have never put time into being a DJ. He doesn’t classify Tiesto and David Guetta as Dj’s. “They are Producers not DJ’s. So Produce”, he says.  Russell tells Tiesto and Guetta fans, “Learn what a DJ is, before calling him a DJ”. So True. This mix has a little bit of everything From R&B, Classic Hip Hop, House, and Soft Rock. You can listen to the full interview here on DJCity.com.

“You want to call yourself a DJ, you need to put in the time. Cuts on your fingers from going through your records, calluses on your hand from caring your crates of records , and F’d up back from throwing your crates in your trunk of your car.” Russell Peters.

Russell will be in concert this Weekend for a special night at the Brea Improv and Next week he will be at the Ontario Improv in Cali. He has sold out every date and by popular demand he has added additional shows.

Enjoy the Mix and Have a great weekend..

His riotous performances have established him as an artist with bona fide international acclaim.

Peters has been nominated for four of Canada’s prestigious Gemini Awards. He has been a featured comic at Montreal’s Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and the Edinburgh Comedy Festival.
