Friday Feel Good Quick Mix ~ The Limo Ride Party Mix

Friday Feel Good Quick Mix for Nov 2015

LIMO Pic

We made this mixtape back in the late 90’s for a bachelorette Party. The bride to be, rented a limo and wanted me to make a mixtape for her special day. She chose the songs and I put them down in a mix. Side B was a Booty Mix. Although, we can’t seem to find that mixtape… Hmmmmm. I going to have Fry Weezie go on a mixtrape man hunt. The limo driver loved the mixtape and ask if he can have it. Luckily, we had a copy of it. I remember the night I recorded the mix. I was in my room and I had the lights off. I did all the cuing without a monitor just straight from the headphones. Which to this day, we still record the same way using just the headphones. I could not have loud music in my room because I did not want to disturb my family while they slept. I was trained using the headphones because local clubs did not have a monitors so we just used the headphones instead. This mix was recorded on Real Vinyl. Serato was not around till 2006. For ol’ Times sake, there are times when we mix using Serato but on Absolute Mode.  Absolute Mode resembles real vinyl on the Serato Sofeware. Sometimes, we still want to use are ears rather then keeping our eye glued on the laptop. We hope you enjoy the mix. I’m pretty sure the ladies enjoyed the Limo ride and males strippers. Cochinas!!!!

Artist on This mixtape Includes: Doug-e Fresh, Slick Rick, Mad Lion, MC Hammer, Eric B and Rakim, Keith Sweat, Guy, and Many More.

Friday Feel Good Cinco De Mayo Mix Ft. DJ Dynamico

This Week we have DJ Dynamico in the DJ Booth. This mix, I’ve had it for a long time and it became a life saver for Parties and Weddings. If you love Merengue, You are going to Love this Mix. It’s a 1 hour Long, 1 hour Strong Merengue Swing Party Mix. Enjoy the mix and please share.

Cinco de Mayo is a much anticipated celebration on the 5th of May. Each year, millions of people flock to Latin themed parties to partake in the festivities. The sad reality is, most people don’t know what they’re celebrating. They simply go to indulge in the refreshments.

1. The celebration of Cinco de Mayo is a Mexican national holiday which celebrates the triumphant victory of the Mexicans over the French in 1862 at the Battle of Puebla.

2. Mexican Independence Day is not celebrated on the 5th of May but on September 16th.

3. The Battle of Puebla was a major victory for the Mexican people as only 4,000 Mexican soldiers battled and defeated 6,500 French soldiers. The entire war took 6 more years to finish, but the victory at Puebla was a huge win for the Mexican people.

4. The biggest Cinco de Mayo celebration is held in…yep…you guessed it, Puebla, Mexico.

5. Wearing Western costumes is part of the celebration in Puebla.

6. Typical Cinco de Mayo celebrations include dancing, mariachi bands, Mexican food and drink, festivals and parades, much like any holiday.

7. The first Cinco de Mayo celebration took place in southern California in 1863.

8. Los Angeles has the largest Cinco de Mayo celebration in the world called Fiesta Broadway, with over half a million people attending this massive street party. (I would not want clean up on this one.)

9. Chandler, Arizona celebrates the traditional way, but then throws a twist, they have Chiuhuahua races which is much like horse races, except on a much smaller scale.

10. Cinco de Mayo is also celebrated in the Carribbean, Australia, and Canada, as well as in Latin countries, and of course, The United States.

So celebrate for our brethren! But celebrate responsibly. If you’re going to a party and will be drinking tequila and eating 7 layer dip, please get a designated driver. Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Friday Feel Good Quick Mix ~ Halloween Mix

Friday Feel Good Quick Mix for October 2014

We were looking into our Archives and we found this Halloween Mix we did a few years back. So we decided to post it up just in time for Halloween. This mix contains hits that share the elements of Halloween, i.e. Candy, Fire, Sexy, etc. DJ’ing Halloween parties were always fun to play and as DJ’s, we try to set ourselves to be different from the rest. #Fryweezie came up with an idea years ago and we kept it going every Halloween Party. We played an underlay of horror music while mixing the party jams. Party goers got a kick out of it. It was something different that happened by accident, but it sounded pretty cool. So, we kept it. This mix contains Hits by; Michael Jackson, Ray Parker Jr., PitBull, Chic, Egyptian Lover, Donna Summer, Mary Jane Girls, The Romantics, Rick James, Bee Gee’s, Whodini, Public Enemy, Nelly and many more.

Have a Safe and Fun Halloween.

Enjoy the Mix and Party Responsibly. Don’t forget to share with your friends and Family.
