Friday Feel Good Quick Mix ~ OLD SCHOOL VS. NU SKOOL HIP HOP

The Friday Feel Good Quick Mix ~ OLD SCHOOL VS. NU SKOOL HIP HOP

This mix comes out straight from our archives. Some of our fans might already have downloaded this mix that was created about 5-6 years ago, but we decided to re-post it . This Mix was featured on Luxury Standard Magazine and we made a Part 2.

New Vs OldThe Battle of Hip Hop has come to this. Old School Vs. Nu Skool. Fry Weezie put it down on the 1’s and 2’s. We wanted to show how Hip Hop has evolved and it’s nothing better than do it in a mix. You be the judge. New School or Old School? Like any classic Rock or Motown hits, the music has ever lasting affect in our music souls. Classic Hip Hop has that affect on me as well as some of the New Hip Hop Artist of today. From Samples to Lyric samples, Hip Hop has change the world we live in. The Big Wigs in the Music industry thought is was a fade and it will only run it’s course. Boy, were they Wrong. Now they are Capitalizing on it BIG TIME. I love Old School Hip Hop and New School as well. I just wish the New School artist would have better Lyriscists and content that would be more positive rather than degrading women.

Content: Eazy E, Lil Wanye, Rodney O, Sir Mixalot, Dj Quik, Cali Swag District, Whodini, Jay Z, Joeski, Craig Mack, Snoop Dogg, Beastie Boys, Game, and many more………

Have a Great Weekend and Party Responsibly

As Always, Thank you for your love and Support

Changing Radio Forever – Baka Boyz – Up Close & Personal

Check out this interview with The Baka Boyz and Khool Aid (X-Power 106 Air Personalities) on how the Baka Boyz aka “The 2 Phat Mexicans” changed Radio forever by Introducing Hip Hop to the main stream. If it wasn’t for these two young and talented kids from Bakersfield, we probably be stuck to listening to pop radio and Hip Hop would not have the impact it has today. Salute to The Baka Boyz.

Living radio legends and music producers, Baka Boyz sit down and chop it up with Khool Aid and E-Dub on Pocos Pero Locos, and cover how they came to LA from Bakersfield as passionate kids and spearheaded Power 106’s (KPWR, Los Angeles) initial transition from Dance station to Hip Hop format. They also reminisce on the first interview they did with Notorious B.I.G. and Puff Daddy, back when Puff was just launching Bad Boy. Radio and Hip Hop history, all in one!

freestyle_fest_logo1It’s time to plan a reunion to enjoy Freestyle & Old School Extravaganza together. The event will be presenting the concert-goers with their favorite hit songs from the eighties and nineties. This phenomenal music is bound to bring back nostalgic school time memories. Cherish school memories with your old friends and create new ones. Freestyle tickets will treat you to a night featuring top-tier freestyle dance music. Sure, you can watch the video of the event online instead of going. But there is no recreation of the atmosphere where you actually find yourself standing in the middle of thousands of fellow dance music fans feeling the energy of the Freestyle Extravaganza heating up.

Being huge fans for Old School Music, we decided to make a Friday Feel Good Quick Mix including all artist performing on both events.

The all-ages concert will include artists like Sir Mix-A-Lot, Vanilla Ice, Lisa Lisa, Tone-Loc, Trinere, Debbie Deb, Young MC, Shannon, The Cover Girls, C&C Music Factory, Stacy Q., Cynthia, Nocera, Dino, Lil Suzy, Freestyle Evolution and Expose
